Flyball is an exciting, fast-paced, team sport enjoyed by many people in the west. It offers plenty of excitement for dogs, handlers and spectators alike.

In Malaysia, as the number of dogs for Flyball is small, perhaps less than 10 for now, it is not possible to form teams of 4. Hence to kick-off the Flyball sport in Malaysia, PAAPP has released the Flyball Rules revision A for individual dogs. As the sport progress the rules for teams will be constructed.

The owners are required to apply in writing on prescribed forms for the Title certificates. For PAAPP members, application fee is RM10 per certificate. For non-members, application fee is RM30 per certificate

Titles of FD (Flyball Dog), FDX (Flyball Dog Excellent), F.D.CH (Flyball Dog Champion) shall be awarded to each dog that attains the required points as per the Table A.

The 1st Malaysian Flyball Tournament was held on 13 July 2008. Only 7 dogs participated- 3 from maxi class and 4 from mini class. A bit clumsy and it will improve over time. The winner from maxi class is Hannah , handled by Choy KS. The winner from mini class is Groovy, handled by Chen Fawn Loong.

Update April 2010: Looks like the sport is not gaining much interest. Real Flyball as practised overseas involve a team of 4 dogs.

If any team of 4 are interested in Flyball, do contact Sue. (012-4015882). 6 classes of Flyball training to get a team started can be arranged.
