PAA offers 8 Agility titles that a dog can gain-

1. Malaysian Agility Champion ( M.A.CH)

2. Malaysian Agility Grand Champion (M.A.Gr CH)

3. Gamblers Dog (GD)

4. Gamblers Dog Excellent (GDX)

5. Master Gamblers Dog (MGD)

6. Veteran Agility Dog (V.A.D)

7. Jumping Dog Excellent (JDX)

8. Master Jumping Dog (MJD)

How to get these titles?

M.A.CH

1.Dog must get minimum 4 Clean Run Certificates. Each Clean Run certificate carries 5 points.

2.Clean Run certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully completed an agility course with NO FAULTS, within the SCT (Standard Course Time).

3.The 20 points are accumulated from 1 Basic Jumpers ( 5 points), 1 Elementary ( 5 points) and 2 Novice ( 10 points) OR 1 Elementary and 3 Novice  OR 4 Novice.

4.Dogs must be registered with PA. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

5.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the M.A.CH title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

M.A.Gr CH

1.Dog must get minimum 4 Clean Run Certificates in the Open class.

2.Clean Run certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully completed an agility course with NO FAULTS, within the SCT (Standard Course Time).

3.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the M.A. GR CH title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

GD

1.Dog must get minimum 3 Gamblers Test 1 Certificates in the Gamblers Test 1 course. Each Gamblers Test certificate carries 5 points. Total points= 15 points (minimum).

2.Gamblers Test Certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully scored minimum  points in the Opening Sequence AND completed the obstacles in the Closing sequence within the allocated time.

3.Dogs must be registered with PAA. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the GD title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

GDX

1.Dog must get minimum 3 Gamblers Test 2 Certificates in the Gamblers Test 2 course. Each Gamblers Certificate carries 5 points. Total points= 15 points (minimum). Dogs without GD title may run the Gamblers 2 course.

2.Gamblers Test Certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully scored minimum  points in the Opening Sequence AND completed the obstacles in the Closing sequence within the allocated time.

3.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the GDX title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

JDX

1.Dog must get minimum 4 Clean Run certificates in the JWW (Novice) class. Each certificate carries 5 points. Total points= 20 points (minimum).

2.Clean Run certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully completed an agility course with NO FAULTS, within the SCT (Standard Course Time).

3.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the JDX title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

MJD

1.Dog must get minimum 4 Clean Run certificates in the JWW (Open) class. Each certificate carries 5 points. Total points= 20 points (minimum).

2.Clean Run certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully completed an agility course with NO FAULTS, within the SCT (Standard Course Time).

3.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the MJD title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members

Eligibility to enter the Agility Trials

1. Dogs shall be healthy and above 15 months for Basic Jumpers class and above 18 months for all other classes.

2. Bitches in oestrum are not allowed to compete.

3. The Agility Trials is open to members and non-members.

3. A dog may be entered in as many class as wished. However if the dog has qualified for 4 Clean Run Certificates of that class, the dog may not enter that same class. The dog must enter the next higher class. The exception to the above rule is the Open class and JWW (Open). A dog may be entered in the Open class as many times as desired.

Agility Games

1.0Agility Games Specialist ( A.G.SP) Title Certificate

PAAPP shall issue the A.G.SP certificate and an A.G.SP trophy to dogs which attain minimum 25 points. In addition the below requirements must be met-

1.1      At least a 1st, 2nd or 3rd placing in all the 8 Games

1.2      1st place= 3 points, 2nd place= 2 points, 3rd place= 1 point.

1.3     A Clear Round in Basic Jumpers class which carries 5 points.

(A clear round means that the dog does not make any course faults or time faults)

How to get these titles?

M.OB.CH

1.Dog must get minimum 4 Obedience Certificates. Each Obedience certificate carries 5 points.

2.Obedience certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully passed the classes as Pre-Novice ClassŕNovice Classŕ Intermediate Classŕ Open Class

3.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the M.OB.CH title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

M.OB.Gr CH

1.Dog must get the UD and UDX titles to qualify. Once the dog gets both UD and UDX titles, the dog can qualify for the M.OB.Gr CH.

2.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

3.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the M.OB. Gr CH title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

UD

1.Dog must get minimum 3 Obedience Certificates in Utility A class. Each Obedience certificate carries 5 points.

2.Obedience certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully passed the Utility A class.

3.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the UD title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

UDX

1.Dog must get minimum 3 Obedience Certificates in Utility B class. Each Obedience certificate carries 5 points.

2.Obedience certificate is given to the dog-handler team who has successfully passed the Utility A class.

3.Dogs must be registered with PAAPP. Dog registration fee is RM10 per dog (one-time fee).

4.Owners of the dog shall apply on prescribed form for the UDX title certificate. Application fee is RM10 for members and RM30 for non-members.

Eligibility to enter the Obedience Trials

1. Dogs shall be healthy and above 6 months old.

2. Bitches in oestrum are not allowed to compete.

3. The Obedience Trials is open to members and non-members.

3. A dog may be entered in as many class as wished. However if the dog wins 3 times 1st Placing OR qualified for 3 Obedience Certificate of that class, the dog may not enter that same class. The dog must enter the next higher class. The exception to the above rule is the Open class. A dog may be entered in the Open class as many times as desired. However if the dog has obtained the UD title, the dog may not enter the Open class. A dog may enter the Utility A class as many times as desired. However if the dog has obtained the UDX title, the dog many not enter the Utility A class. After the dog has obtained the M.OB.GrCH, the dog may enter the Utility B class as many times as desired.

Obedience Rules


What is the Silver medal,Gold medal and Platimum medal

Eligibility

The Silver medal is awarded to dogs which have accumulated 40 points in their trialing career with PAA trials. International Agility Championship clean runs are not included in the this Medal Tally.

The Gold medal is awarded to dogs which have accumulated 80 points in their trialing career with PAA trials.

The Platinum medal is awarded to dogs which have accumulated 150 points in their trialing career with PAA trials. This is a Life-time achievement award and comes with a CASH prize of RM500.00

The medals are personalized with engraving of dog's name.

Points system

The PAA Secretary maintains a database of Clean Run certificates, Gamblers Certificates, Obedience Certificates, and the Flyball certificates. Each dog's points will be updated after each competition. See here. Each certificate carries 5 points. Accumulation of points is for the lifetime of the dog. Accumulation of points are done for both agility, obedience and flyball competitions.

Presentation of the medal-The Silver and Gold medal will be presented to the dog and owner at the last competition of the year organized by PAAPP. There is no need to apply for it, unlike the titles, where the owner has to apply for the titles after the dog has accumulated the required points.

Agility Handlers Cup 2010- Eligibility and Rules. Rev B, 15 January 2009.

1.    1.Handlers must be PAAPP members to qualify for consideration.  2. Agility Runs from January 2009 to October 2010 only are within the scope for Agility Handlers Cup. Classes eligible are Elementary, JWW, Veteran, Novice, Open, Gamblers Test 1 and Gamblers Test 2.  3. Application must be made to the Secretary in the prescribed form and emailed to paapp@agility-penang.com between 1st to 15 November 2010.  Application fees is RM30 for each handler. Late applications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  4. 2 points are awarded for each clean run certificate ( or Gamblers Cert)  for handling own dog. 4 points are awarded for handling dog belonging to another person. The owner of the dog may be a member or non-member of PAAPP.  5. The final results (based on verification of authenticity of application for Handlers Cup) will be announced during the December 2010 trials. There will be 2 cups- Grand Master Handler Cup and Master Handler Cup, personalized with the handler's name for the top 2 highest points.

Agility Dog of the Year (Maxi, Mini and Toy categories). Rev B, 15 June 2009

1.Owners and handlers of the dog MUST be PAAPP members. 2. Agility Runs from June 2009 to October 2010 only are within the scope for this award. Classes eligible are Basis Jumpers, Elementary, JWW, Veteran, Novice, Open, Gamblers Test 1 and Gamblers Test 2.  3. No application is required, the clean runs will be tracked by the secretary. 4. There will be 3 Agility Dog of the Year awards- for Maxi, Mini and Toy categories. The dog that accumulates the maximum number of Clean Runs (from any class as per Rule # 2) from June 2009 through October 2010 wins the award. If there is a tie, there will be a run-off at the last trial of 2010 to decide the winner. 5. The final results will be announced during the December 2010 trials.

PAA Dog Obedience Challenge Trophy-Donated by Max Lee.

Eligibility and Rules—Rev B, 31st July 2010.

1. Eligibility: The PAA Obedience Challenge Trophy is open to dogs registered with PAA and handlers who are PAA members only.

2. This Challenge Trophy is awarded to the dog-handler team. This means that the dog must be handled by the same person in all the trials to be in running for the Challenge Trophy.

3. The Challenge trophy shall be awarded each year. For the first year 2010, results from Obedience Trials from August 2009 to October 2010 only are within the scope for the PAA Dog Obedience Challenge Trophy. See table below for more information.

4. Each Obedience Judge is allowed to judge the same class for a maximum of 3 times in the same year.

5. The winner of the Challenge Trophy shall keep the trophy for 22 months and return to PAA before the next award is announced. If the Challenge trophy is won by the same dog-handler team for 4 consecutive years the trophy shall be retained by the handler. A new Challenge trophy shall be donated for subsequent years.

6. Classes eligible are Pre-Novice, Novice, Intermediate, Open, Utility A and Utility B.

7. The Challenge Trophy shall be based on the points system as tabulated in table below. The winner of the Challenge trophy shall be the highest scoring team for that year.
