PAAPP's 2010 Agility Workshop
( 26-29 August 2010)
PAAPP will be organizing
an Agility Workshop from 26-29 August in Penang. The Coach will be Ms
Cathy Slot from ADAA (Agility Dog Association of Australia). The first
of it's kind in Malaysia, this training workshop will be a great
opportunity to educate ourselves the effective way of teaching our
agility dogs.
Cathy regularly travels to the US and
Canada to train with, and watch the best Agility experts in the world,
and under her and her husband Steve Drinkwater's business (Yunde Canine Enterprises) brings out
trainers to Australia to work with Australian handlers.
Cathy has been to
workshops and seminars in the US, conducted by SAY YES Training Academy
(operated by Susan Garrett). She is also a great supporter of Greg
Derrett's (UK) handling system. In 2008,
Cathy judged (and provided administerial assistance) at the IFCS World
Agility Championships held in Belgium, having previously attended the
2004 IFCS World Agility Championships held in Spain.
Cathy brings with her a
wealth of knowledge from international exposure and she is willing to
impart her knowledge to help raise the standard of Malaysian agility
dogs. Cathy was here in Malaysia in 1999 and again in 2009 to train
PAAPP trainee Judges.
